Happy newyear!! hope everyone is well!

for xmas I made a few sock monkeys as I had a Paul Frank monkey at home and it didnt look that hard (and it cost like $20!) so I gave it a try!!

I used this pattern to help me figure out how to do it ๐Ÿ™‚

Sock Monkey

Sock Monkey

So here it goes! 2 socks!

Cut sock 1

Cut sock two(this will be the body)

Dont forget to sew things inside out

When stuffing make sure not to fray the edges as it makes it super hard to sew(and looks ugly)

Ive made a couple since these aswell.. My suggestion is not not use ‘winter’ socks and get the moreย  so jersey knit socks as they tend to fray less and looks less bunchy when stuffing ๐Ÿ™‚
And getting socks that have a different coloured heal to the rest of the sock ๐Ÿ™‚

I had some spare fabric left over from mr’s tent and pram, so I decided to make him a beanbag

one side is fauxfur, and the other is just plain polarfleece.. the beanbag itself is like a cookie shape with a blake piece of fabric around the outside, and i’ve sown in the beans for safety ๐Ÿ™‚

We find this beanbag fantastic for nappy changes during the day, when we need to give him teething stuff, and a warm cuddly place to go after hes had a shower/bath

As our MR has decided to be on his front the majority of the time in attempt to crawl, I decided to cover his minigym with a tent like configuration ๐Ÿ™‚

its all polarfleece type material(to keep him warm next to the window in winter) bought from Spotlight

While our MiniMan was still in his bassinet pram set I decided it would be a fantastic time to pimp his pram so all the ladies would look at him

This was done on a Steel Craft pram, with Fauxfur from Spotlight( only used maybe half a metre of one drop) and sewed on Velcro to the original seat so I could attach it. all up it probably cost $30+my time I also made little covers for the strapsย  as the seem so rough that close to their necks.

I find it has quite a few purposes –ย  its super comfy for him, keeps him warm, and he loves stroking it to make himself go to sleep (as well as getting other babies jealous)

He Seemed to like it the first time he went in it ๐Ÿ™‚
